Vaccine doses

The data published here are based on anonymised information provided to us regularly via a secure electronic channel by the cantons, the Principality of Liechtenstein and the Armed Forces Logistics Organisation (AFLO), as well as on the quotas (vaccine doses allocated) calculated by us. We publish the figures on the following day. They may therefore differ from the numbers communicated by the cantons and Liechtenstein.

The figures do not differentiate between the different vaccines. The vaccine doses administered are based on the place where the person was vaccinated, regardless of their place of residence. Vaccines reserved for scheduled appointments or second vaccinations are not shown here.

Geographical distribution

Vaccine doses, Switzerland and Liechtenstein, 21.12.2020 to 21.10.2021

The graph shows the total numbers of all vaccine doses.
Vaccine doses allocated: doses of vaccine allocated proportionally among the cantons that have been made available to the cantons and the Principality of Liechtenstein. Until 25 April 2021, doses were allocated based on the proportion of people at particularly high risk (target group 1 under the vaccination strategy). Thereafter they were allocated in proportion to the total population including cross-border commuters working in the health sector minus the share already allocated for people at particularly high risk, and does not include transfers within the cantons.
Vaccine doses delivered: quantities of vaccine procured by each canton and in the Principality of Liechtenstein and thus physically delivered to the canton.
Vaccine doses administered: all vaccine doses that have been administered in the canton in question and in the Principality of Liechtenstein.

Demography

Administered vaccine doses, Switzerland and Liechtenstein, 21.12.2020 to 17.10.2021

The graph shows the development of vaccine doses administered. A review of the data revealed that in the 0–9 age group the entries were mainly incorrect. We are not aware of systematic vaccination of under 12s. In the interests of transparency, we publish the data we receive from the cantons without making any changes.

Ratio of risk groups to other people

Administered vaccine doses, Switzerland and Liechtenstein, 21.12.2020 to 17.10.2021

The graphi shows the ratio of vaccinations administered to risk groups to other people. “Other” may also include groups as per cantonal vaccination strategies.

The COVID-19 vaccination strategy prioritises people by risk groups (target groups 1 to 4) and all other people (target group 5). The risk groups comprise people at an increased risk of falling seriously ill, infection or transmission. The personnel administering the vaccination check that the person belongs to the relevant group.

7-day values: the bars represent the ratio each week.
Total: The areas represent the cumulative ratio up to the corresponding point in time.
Due to mathematical rounding, the sum of the percentages may not be exactly 100%.
